Zum zweiten Mal veranstalten das Institut für Sorabistik und die Studierendeninitiative ERIU Leipzig in diesem Jahr die Woche der Europäischen Minderheitensprachen. Im Fokus stehen insbesondere das Sorbische und die keltischen Sprachen Irisch, Schottisch-Gälisch und Walisisch. In der Woche vom 3. bis zum 7. Juni werden Schnupperkurse sowie akademische und kulturelle Veranstaltungen angeboten. Auch in diesem Jahr dürfen wir wieder einen internationalen Gast begrüßen: Dr. Hywel Lewis von der University of Wales Trinity Saint David, der im Forschungsseminar am 6. Juni einen Vortrag zur Soziolinguistik des Walisischen halten wird.

Druhi raz wuhotujetej Institut za sorabistiku a studentska iniciatiwa ERIU Lipsk lětsa Tydźeń europskich mjeńšinowych rěčow. W srjedźišću steja předewšěm serbšćina a keltiske rěče iršćina, šotišćina-gelšćina a walizišćina. W tydźenju wot 3. do 7. junija poskića so pospytne kursy kaž tež akademiske a kulturne zarjadowanja. European Minority Languages Week 3 – 7 June 2024

For the second time, the Institute for Sorbian Studies and the student society ERIU Leipzig are organising European Minority Language Week this year. A particular focus will be on Sorbian and the Celtic languages Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Welsh. During the week from 3 to 7 June, we are offering taster courses as well as academic and cultural events. Once again we will be welcoming an international guest: Dr Hywel Lewis from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, who will be giving a lecture on Welsh sociolinguistics in the Research Seminar on 6 June.
