Results of „Modernist Collage Workshop” with BA students

On 24.01.2024 a collage workshop took place as part of the BA seminar "Modernist Cultures" (Julia Heinemann). Under the guidance of Dr Jade French (Loughborough University) and Jennifer Ashby (EUI Florence), students learned about collage as both an artistic practice and innovative method of text interpretation. The basis for the collage was Mina Loy's poem "Mass Production on 14th Street" (1942), which the students then translated into the medium of collage, thereby visualising their readings of the poem.
