In addition to exams in our programs' individual modules, each degree culminates in a final degree exam, a written thesis. Please refer to the information below for more information on these exams and their deadlines.
Registration Procedure
You usually write your BA thesis in the sixth semester of your BA program. Unlike for your other modules, you do not sign up for the BA thesis via TOOL. Instead, you need to fill out a registration form ("Antrag") and hand it in at the Exams Office in due time.
Dates for Registering the BA Thesis
- Winter Semester 2024/25: June 6, 2024
- Summer Semester 2025: January 16, 2025
Please note that these are not hard deadlines (i.e., you can also hand in your registration form later), but abiding by them ensures that you will usually receive your BA certificate by the end of the next term (if you have completed all your other modules as well).
You can find the registration form, BA thesis guidelines, a list of supervisors and readers for your thesis, as well as the declaration of originality and correspondence below.
