Current Picador Professor Daniel Gumbiner's public reading took place on November 12 at the Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst. The event brought about a pretty full house as Gumbiner read from his second novel Fire in the Canyon, published by Astra House in 2023, and discussed his work with Senthuran Varatharajah. As always, the audience also had the opportunity to ask questions, one of the favorites being “Do you like your characters and does a writer need to like their characters?”.
