The student council ALuTi acts as representation for all students in the programmes offered at the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology (IALT).

The student council or Fachschaftsrat (FSR) is elected by the students at the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology (IALT) and the Institute of Linguistics every summer semester.

The student council

  • listens to your questions and problems concerning your programme.
  • represents you on the University of Leipzig student council (StuRa), at the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology, and at the Faculty of Philology.
  • speaks on your behalf at meetings of official bodies such as the management board or the examination board of the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology (IALT)
  • is your mouthpiece towards the institute and the university.
  • invites you to holiday celebrations, trips, movie screenings, and to the annual Grillen im ParkTM barbecue party.
  • collects and provides you with up-to-date information on your studies and everything that has to do with it.

The student council keeps you up to date on information and events through their website and Instagram page.
